Serve as a friend to isolated older adults in Chicago, providing companionship and social interaction through regular visits or calls to alleviate loneliness.
Responsibilities
- Commit to visiting or calling an elder twice a month for 12 months
- Develop a friendship with an isolated older adult
- Engage in in-person visits in the elder's home, your home, outdoors, or in the community
- Participate in phone calling from any location
- Attend a one-hour Zoom orientation session
- Successfully complete a background screen
Requirements
- Commitment to visiting or calling an elder twice a month for 12 months
