This internship provides freshman university students with practical industry training and real-project exposure in civil engineering through developmental training sessions and participation on project teams.
Responsibilities
- Complete Environmental Health & Safety training with tiered certification
- Undergo Design Technology training
- Complete Site Design training
- Participate in Plan/Spec Overview
- Attend client project site visits
Requirements
- Successfully completed freshman year of university/college studies and returning to school for sophomore year
- Possess and provide self-transportation to/from Gateway office and required local project sites
- Demonstrable strong and confident communication skills
- A commitment to lifelong learning and improvement
- Be coachable
- Exhibit organization skills
- The ability to efficiently manage his/her time
- Critical thinking
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
