Freelance In Person Event Specialist

About This Role

Manage the on-site logistics for in-person events in Las Vegas, NV, ensuring high-quality customer experiences for team-building activities that support nonprofits.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the day-of primary contact for hands-on event execution
• Join virtual planning meetings with corporate partners, nonprofit partners, and internal teams
• Take ownership of in-person events, including setup, on-site alignment, tear down, and site cleaning
• Act as the Visit.org representative, leader, and problem-solver at events
• Align roles and responsibilities with the venue, nonprofit organization, and corporate partner
• Manage the check-in process for in-person events, providing a welcoming experience to guests
• Problem-solve on-site issues such as missing supplies or technology challenges
• Escalate issues to the Events Team when necessary for support
• Send consistent updates, photos, and videos to the Events Team throughout the event duration
• Assist with breakdown after the event, including cleaning and repacking/shipping materials

Requirements

• Based in Las Vegas, NV
• Fluency in English and strong communication skills
• Schedule flexibility to work on a contract per-event basis, including nights and weekends
• Experience in corporate event execution at the highest level
• Resourcefulness and solutions-minded approach in ambiguous situations
• Ability to problem-solve quickly and effectively on-site
• Self-starter who is organized and detail-oriented
• Customer service and relationship-building skills
• Experience with group facilitation and managing group dynamics
• Ability to travel to various areas of the local region
• Able to lift, slide, and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Able to stand for an extended period of time

Qualifications

• Experience in complex, large-scale events and smaller executive-level events
