The Foundry Systems Service Specialist is responsible for on-site installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electro-mechanical systems in foundries and automotive plants. This role requires technical expertise in PLC diagnostics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical controls to minimize downtime and ensure equipment performance.
Responsibilities
- Own on-site equipment installation and run-off, confirming performance and safety against factory standards before customer handover
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control issues; handle emergency service to minimize downtime in foundries and automotive plants
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules to improve reliability and longevity
- Deliver practical operator and maintenance training at customer sites
- Log service details, parts, and expenses accurately; ERP reporting familiarity
- Provide remote technical support to customers and internal teams when not traveling
Requirements
- High school diploma
- 4+ years PLC experience
- 4+ years in industrial maintenance or field service
- Advanced troubleshooting skills
- Fluency in electrical schematics, hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams, and mechanical blueprints
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Valid driver’s license and passport (or ability to obtain)
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate degree or certification in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred
- 4+ years industrial maintenance or field service experience, preferably in foundry, casting, or heavy manufacturing, with prior travel-based roles being helpful
Nice to Have
- Associate degree or certification in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
