About This Role

A Form Carpenter at Shiel Sexton performs commercial and industrial construction and remodeling, interior systems, interior and exterior finish, blueprint reading, transit operations, scaffolding, and safety. This team member will contribute to a 100% employee-owned company that prioritizes quality and an exceptional building experience.

Responsibilities

Perform commercial and industrial construction and remodeling
Complete interior systems, interior and exterior finish work
Read and interpret blueprints
Execute transit operations, including layout for building lines, elevations, wall, and partition
Set up and manage scaffolding
Ensure safety practices including scaffold systems, shoring, weather protection, and fall protection systems
Utilize laser for accurate measurements and layouts
Demonstrate expertise in formwork for walls, columns, structural decks, and sitework
Build and set anchor bolt templates
Set and wreck Peri/Symons panels

Requirements

3-5 years of carpentry experience
Ability to use a transit/tapeon laser
Knowledge of formwork for walls, columns, structural decks
Experience in building and setting anchor bolt templates
Experience in Peri/Symons panels setting and wrecking
Physical abilities suitable for carpentry work
Adequate vision (corrected) and hearing for site safety
Alertness to potential construction site hazards

Qualifications

3-5 years of carpentry experience, commercial construction experience preferred

Nice to Have

OSHA 10 certification, construction specific
Commercial construction experience
