A Form Carpenter at Shiel Sexton performs commercial and industrial construction and remodeling, interior systems, interior and exterior finish, blueprint reading, transit operations, scaffolding, and safety. Responsibilities
- Perform commercial and industrial construction and remodeling
- Complete interior systems, interior and exterior finish work
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Execute transit operations, including layout for building lines, elevations, wall, and partition
- Set up and manage scaffolding
- Ensure safety practices including scaffold systems, shoring, weather protection, and fall protection systems
- Utilize laser for accurate measurements and layouts
- Demonstrate expertise in formwork for walls, columns, structural decks, and sitework
- Build and set anchor bolt templates
- Set and wreck Peri/Symons panels
Requirements
- 3-5 years of carpentry experience
- Ability to use a transit/tapeon laser
- Knowledge of formwork for walls, columns, structural decks
- Experience in building and setting anchor bolt templates
- Experience in Peri/Symons panels setting and wrecking
- Physical abilities suitable for carpentry work
- Adequate vision (corrected) and hearing for site safety
- Alertness to potential construction site hazards
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of carpentry experience, commercial construction experience preferred
Nice to Have
- OSHA 10 certification, construction specific
- Commercial construction experience
