This role is responsible for the precise and prompt submission of manufacturer and aftermarket warranty claims, ensuring the subsequent collection of all warranty claim revenue for Malloy Ford.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all manufacturers' and after-market warranty companies’ policies and procedures
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with manufacturer’s designated warranty representatives and after-market warranty companies
- Review warranty repair orders for proper completion, accuracy, and legibility
- Communicate with Service advisors, Service Director, and Technicians to ensure all necessary diagnostic forms accompany repair orders
- Determine and enter applicable labor operation codes, failure codes, and other administrative data required on repair orders
- Submit warranty claims to manufacturer or warranty companies using administrative tools
- Ensure all deductibles are properly documented and collected from the customer
- Review all returned, and/or, rejected warranty claims and prepare repair orders for immediate resubmission
- Maintain a record of all claims submitted, returned/rejected, or paid and their current status, reviewing with the Service Director daily
- Strive to maintain a minimum warranty claims acceptance rate of 95% and no more than 10 days of warranty receivables
- Work with shop foreman, lead technicians, service advisors, and service director to effectively discuss warranty claims
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1-year experience
- Self-starter and proactive
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
- Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1-year experience, two years previous automotive/administrative work preferred
