Prepare and cut all menu items fresh daily, manage product mix, and ensure all food procedures and sanitation guidelines are followed.
Responsibilities
- Cut and prep all menu items fresh daily
- Perform daily product mix planning in conjunction with general manager
- Review menus prior to preparation of food
- Assure that all food procedures are followed
- Coordinate food service with other departments as necessary (catering)
- Assist with the purchase and inventory of the food supply
- Follow all sanitation guidelines
- Become familiar with new menu items/dishes
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of food preparation experience
- Demonstrate cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipes
- Knowledge of proper nutritional requirements
- Food Service Sanitation Certificate
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of food preparation experience required
Nice to Have
- Graduate of a culinary institute, military school or formal on-the-job training
- Experience with quantity food preparation
