Food Preparer

About This Role

Prepare and cut all menu items fresh daily for a restaurant in Palm Beach Gardens, ensuring all food procedures and sanitation guidelines are followed.

Responsibilities

• Cut and prep all menu items fresh daily
• Plan daily product mix in conjunction with the general manager
• Review menus prior to food preparation
• Assure that all food procedures are followed
• Coordinate food service with other departments as necessary (e.g., catering)
• Assist with the purchase and inventory of the food supply
• Follow all sanitation guidelines
• Become familiar with new menu items/dishes

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of food preparation experience
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate
• Demonstrate cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipes
• Knowledge of proper nutritional requirements

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of food preparation experience required

Nice to Have

• Graduate of a culinary institute, military school or formal on-the-job training
• Experience with quantity food preparation
