Fleet Shop Porter

About This Role

The Fleet Shop Porter supports shop operations by maintaining vehicle readiness, assisting with parts and sales equipment, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment for a transportation company.

Responsibilities

• Check vehicles to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, reporting issues to the location manager
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicles
• Distribute licensing
• Pick up parts from various vendors
• Fuel and wash vehicles
• Assist with checking in parts from various vendors
• Assist shop as needed
• Prep equipment for final sales
• Assist Sales Representative as needed with tasks including taking pictures
• Move equipment on the yard and between locations
• Refurbish equipment as needed
• Remove and label decals as needed

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and meet insurability
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work independently
• Customer service skills
• Organizational skills
• Positive attitude
• Willingness to travel as necessary to transport equipment
• Ability to work the required schedule at the specific location

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Class A CDL
• Class B CDL
