Fixture Maker / Tool Maker

About This Role

The Fixture Maker / Tool Maker will be responsible for manufacturing, repairing, and modifying fixtures, tooling, and gauges. This role involves operating both manual and CNC machinery, utilizing skills in machining and welding, for a permanent first-shift position.

Responsibilities

• Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools
• Study blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools, dies, or assemblies
• Set up and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, or grinders
• Cut, bore, grind, or otherwise shape parts to prescribed dimensions and finishes
• Repair, maintain, and perform some welding on CNC mills with Siemens controllers
• Perform manual machining, set up, and operate drills, mills, and lathes

Requirements

• 1st shift tool and die experience
• Welding and machining fixtures, tooling, gauges
• Experience with CNC mills with Siemens controllers
• Manual machining skills
• Ability to set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools
• Weld fixtures experience
