Financial Software Engineer

About This Role

Galatea is seeking a Financial Software Engineer to join a growing team focused on building and improving key systems for Capital Market clients. In this role, you will be defining, architecting, and building strategic systems that facilitate access to global liquidity and capital, making a direct impact on people's lives by streamlining financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Learn about Galatea’s collaborative culture and delivery approach
• Take ownership of design, implementation, and testing of specific technical tasks
• Build an understanding of finance topics relevant to the project
• Onboard to client projects and familiarize with systems, design, and architecture
• Establish relationships with client contacts
• Design technical solutions to larger tasks/problems
• Participate in Galatea responsibilities outside of client work (e.g., talent development, recruiting)
• Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or more areas of the project
• Work independently on larger tasks from requirements gathering through design and implementation
• Form relationships with client contacts and observe lead interactions
