This internship provides hands-on, real-world experience in financial planning and wealth management within a boutique, fee-only registered investment advisory firm. Interns will assist with financial plan maintenance, tax planning, portfolio management, and firm growth initiatives, gaining direct exposure and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Assist with updating and maintaining client financial plans
- Support tax projections and tax-planning analyses
- Assist with portfolio management and investment-related tasks
- Participate in business development and firm growth initiatives
- Gain hands-on experience with the technology stack used to run an independent RIA
- Learn best practices related to workflows, compliance, and client service
Requirements
- Completion of FIN 311 with a grade of B or better
- Strong interest in financial planning and wealth management
- Ability to work in-person at the Bethany Beach office
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Qualifications
- Completion of FIN 311 with a grade of B or better
Nice to Have
- Interest in tax topics and tax planning
- Familiarity with financial planning or investment software such as RightCapital, Holistiplan, Orion, or similar platforms
