The Financial Analyst is responsible for accurate and timely reporting of monthly and annual financial results, supporting month-end close and budget activities. This role partners with various functional areas to provide high-quality analysis that supports organizational goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Supports standard financial processes including month-end closing, budget development, and periodic forecast updates related to order intake, revenue, and operational expenses
- Ensures accurate and timely delivery of standard and ad hoc financial reports
- Analyzes designated performance measures, financial metrics, and compensation plan metrics, performing root cause analysis where required
- Processes and applies data accurately to the database, leveraging technical and financial knowledge
- Supports quarterly and annual forecast and budget processes with coordination, preparation, and submission in corporate tools
- Defines and creates business reports in conjunction with internal partners, managing development, testing, documentation, roll out, and training
- Continuously works on process improvement activities
- Provides analysis, insights, and guidance to business leaders for designing profitable strategies, enhancing cost efficiencies, and improving quality
- Conducts month-end and ongoing analysis of business performance, including expense and KPI reporting versus plan and objectives
- Identifies and helps implement process and cost improvements
Requirements
- 5+ years of analytical experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Accounting experience in US GAAP and IFRS
- Financial & business modeling and tool building
- Problem solving and analytical thinking skills
- Demonstrated time and project management skills
- Experience with large datasets
- Technical aptitude with reporting tools like SAP, PowerBI, CRM, Business objects, Access databases
- Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel proficiency for data manipulation, analysis, and charting
- Self-driven, persuasive, independent with attention to detail and follow-up
- Strong business acumen and sense of accountability/ownership
- Proven ability to build strong working relationships and influence business partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of analytical experience
Nice to Have
- ERP system experience, preferably SAP or SAP S4Hana
