Support the investment process for a leading industrial real estate investment trust by performing quantitative and qualitative analysis. Work within an analyst team to escort transactions through the deal pipeline from origination to close, and assist with portfolio-related analysis.
Responsibilities
- Research the physical and financial attributes of assets and conduct lease analysis to accurately underwrite acquisition opportunities and value existing assets
- Work within proprietary cash flow model to project economic feasibility and performance of potential acquisitions and corporate finance projects
- Participate in broker calls to understand asset specific market dynamics including market rents, comparable sales, downtime and rent growth
- Produce memorandum materials on a weekly basis to be presented to the Investment Committee for initial deal approvals
- Prepare letters of intent and review purchase agreement documents from a business perspective
- Prepare full Investment Committee memorandums for the Board of Directors for larger transactions
- Assist in the interpretation of all due diligence materials and prepare a memo detailing findings
- Work with legal and accounting department colleagues to aid preparation of closing documents
- Prepare Argus cash flows for accounting purposes and support analysis related to dispositions and large lease analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Mathematics
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a real estate or finance related industry
- Highly motivated with a keen interest in real estate
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
- Strong written and communication skills
