This internship provides hands-on experience in Asset Liability Management within VyStar Credit Union's Finance department. Interns will develop practical skills in data analysis and financial modeling, contributing to critical functions and enhancing efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop practical skills in data analysis and financial modeling through on-the-job training and mentorship
- Receive comprehensive training in Asset Liability Management (ALM) modeling, gaining insight into how financial institutions manage risk and optimize performance
- Learn the end-to-end production workflow by shadowing team members and interviewing subject matter experts to understand processes and best practices
- Lead a key project to create brand-new departmental procedures, documenting policies, workflows, and regulatory reporting standards to enhance efficiency and compliance
- Get hands-on experience solving business needs
- Expand team player capabilities
- Develop leadership and business acumen
- Interact with Senior Executives
Requirements
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at an accredited college/university
- Rising College Junior, Senior, Graduate Student, or Thrive Scholar
- Strong written and communication skills
- Flexibility to work with multi-disciplined teams
- Strong use of Microsoft Office Tools
