About This Role

This role focuses on performing mechanical and electrical repairs on CNC machinery, ensuring optimal equipment performance at customer sites. Technicians will troubleshoot issues, conduct preventative maintenance, and travel daily to customer locations predominantly in Sterling Heights, MI.

Responsibilities

Perform hands-on maintenance of machines
Troubleshoot and diagnose machine issues, both mechanically and electrically, ensuring accurate repairs and minimal downtime
Conduct preventative maintenance on machine systems
Collaborate with the technical team to escalate and resolve complex issues when necessary
Document service visits, repairs, and maintenance activities in detailed reports
Travel to customer locations as required, ensuring timely and effective service

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in field service or equipment repair, with focus on CNC machines
Mechanical and electrical aptitude
Strong technical knowledge of CNC machines
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, schematics and manuals
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills to explain technical information clearly to customers
Willingness to travel extensively for on-site repairs and support
Driving record that meets company auto insurance requirements

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in field service or equipment repair, with focus on CNC machines

Nice to Have

Enhanced driver's license
Knowledge of various CNC Controls
Knowledge of Tarus CNC Machines
Knowledge of Siemens 840D and SINUMERIK ONE
Knowledge of Heidenhain
