Field Service Technician (Appliance Repair)

About This Role

As a Field Service Technician at LG Electronics, you will deliver exceptional customer service by performing maintenance and specialized repairs on LG appliances and electronics in customer homes. This role supports customer satisfaction and ensures top product performance.

Responsibilities

• Travel offsite to customers' locations to perform maintenance and repair of LG's equipment
• Properly use all safety equipment (PPE), vehicle, and diagnostic tools provided by LG
• Conduct technical diagnosis and perform specialized repairs on a variety of electronics and home appliances
• Diagnose problems, assess the extent of the problem, document findings, make decisions to repair the product and/or replace parts
• Immediately and accurately process paperwork and perform data entry upon completion of each job
• Pre-screen next day service calls by obtaining necessary information to help diagnose issues prior to arrival
• Meet or exceed company metrics including customer satisfaction, fix right first time, revisits, parts management, and OT%

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in a technical role
• Experience repairing major appliances (Refrigeration/sealed systems, cooking, cleaning products)
• Experience in the use of tools and diagnostic test equipment
• Ability to properly trouble-shoot, diagnose, repair and document product/system issues
• Valid Driver’s license in good standing
• Ability to obtain appropriate EPA Certification
• Ability to meet physical requirements generally associated with field service repair such as continuous bending and lifting up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a technical role (Field Service preferred)
