Field Operations Project Manager - Transformer Services

About This Role

Manage all Field Service Solutions activities within a specified region for transformer and substation apparatus installation, services, and repair. This role involves overseeing project execution, managing staff, ensuring profitability, and driving growth for Voltyx.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safety culture within field operations
• Responsible for onsite execution of projects, including routine maintenance, emergency call-outs, and turnkey projects
• Hire, train, direct, and control all field service staff within the assigned region
• Interface with manager to maintain weekly activity reports for projects
• Prepare project operation reports and forecasts including accomplishments, challenges, opportunities, market overviews, and key initiatives
• Manage and determine asset utilization, including manpower, tools, and vehicles
• Propose capital equipment requests and leased equipment requests
• Interface with clients to create viable solutions for their needs while driving bookings, growth, and profitability
• Qualify, select, procure, and coordinate subcontractors as necessary to supplement NASS resources
• Schedule field jobs to meet or exceed client schedule requests and procure equipment as needed to complete jobs on time and profitably
• Coordinate, schedule, and return rented vehicles, equipment, test equipment, or facilities for project success and cost control
• Support technical issues with customers, drive HPI tools, participate in creating a culture of integrity by encouraging lessons learned, safety reporting, and participating in investigations
• Monitor profitability and margin of service work to meet business goals
• Accommodate last-minute scheduling changes arising from customer requests, site problems, or bad weather
• Resolve product problems or deficiencies in a way that is transparent to the customer

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Ability to complete a satisfactory criminal background check
• Ability to climb ladders
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift 70 lbs
• Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
