Field Application Engineer

About This Role

Serve as a Field Application Engineer, leveraging knowledge of electronic components and board-level design to drive demand creation and provide technical support to customers. Partner with the sales team to influence designs and champion engineering investments.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced understanding of customer needs and technical leadership to champion return on engineering investment
• Drive demand creation by maximizing Arrow content on designs
• Understand customer needs and leverage Arrow’s engineering and design services to facilitate solutions
• Apply technical knowledge to influence designs using solution selling, resources, and strategies
• Partner with the sales team across pre-and post-sales activities, providing technical support and consulting
• Conduct technical calibrations and research with sales, other Arrow departments, and suppliers in support of customer designs
• Manage supplier and customer expectations by building relationships and keeping stakeholders updated
• Identify key relationships among decision makers within suppliers and customers
• Attend and actively participate in strategic branch meetings and QBRs
• Develop and drive strategic technical plans by supplier line or customer solutions

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge and experience with system/board/engineering solutions and electronic components
• Breadth of knowledge of electronic components
• Experience with board-level/circuit design engineering
• Excellent communication skills
• Comfortable being in front of customers

Qualifications

• 4 year degree or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience, or an advanced degree without experience, or equivalent work experience
