About This Role

Join a mental health treatment team to evaluate clients' needs, administer counseling, develop individualized treatment plans, and ensure comprehensive documentation at a nonprofit organization dedicated to human services.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Psychiatric Evaluations and Re-Evaluations
  • Complete comprehensive behavioral evaluations (CBE)
  • Administer counseling/therapy to clients
  • Follow up with client’s Initial Evaluation, focusing on diagnosed problems
  • Develop individualized Treatment Plans with clients that are observable and measurable
  • Write DAP (data, assessment, plan) notes for individual and group therapy
  • Document services clearly, ensuring alignment with Treatment Plan goals
  • Assess clients’ psychosocial needs and provide therapeutic support, documenting in the clinical chart
  • Knowledge of community resources for referrals and document referrals
  • Coordinate with client’s primary care physician and other involved agencies
  • Collaborate with the treatment team on discharge and aftercare plans
  • Alert professionals about adverse reactions to psychotropic medication or suspected abuse
  • Participate in clinical supervision on a biweekly basis

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in clinical mental health discipline (psychology, counseling, clinical social work, psychiatric nursing, marriage and family therapy)
  • Minimum two years’ experience as a psychotherapist
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills (typing)
  • Good English writing skills using behavioral health terminology
  • Ability to complete ten hours of continuing education training annually
  • Ability to complete CBH mandatory trainings within three (3) months of hire and yearly afterwards
  • Provide an FBI, criminal background and child abuse clearances within the first 90 days of employment
  • Complete CPSL certificate training

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited university in a clinical mental health discipline
  • Minimum of two years’ experience as a psychotherapist
