Provide crisis intervention and individual, family, and group therapy to families of minors in the Tri-Valley area, contributing to their mental and emotional health.
Responsibilities
- Perform individual, family, and group counseling using various therapeutic techniques
- Conduct intake assessments to determine problems and establish diagnostic and treatment plans
- Conduct immediate crisis intervention for families in distress
- Coordinate with the probation department for youth involved with the Alameda County Probation Department
- Participate on county and local multi-disciplinary teams such as SARB meetings
- Participate in a team environment to develop and implement client case plans
- Maintain accurate, confidential client records
- Prepare oral and written studies, reports, and recommendations
- Work cooperatively with other departments and agencies
- Utilize a computer and specialized software
Requirements
- Equivalent to a Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- One year of experience counseling families of youth, including crisis intervention and family therapy
- Current licensure or eligibility for state professional licensing (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Clinical Psychologist)
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- One year of experience counseling families of youth, including crisis intervention and family therapy.
