This role will support the development of effective, engaging, and innovative teaching and learning environments at the University of Kentucky. The consultant will coach faculty, conduct workshops, and collaborate to design university-wide initiatives improving pedagogy in traditional and technology-enhanced settings.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of effective, engaging, and innovative teaching and learning environments
- Coach and advise faculty one-on-one on teaching strategies
- Conduct workshops for faculty and instructors
- Collaborate in designing large-scale, college and university-wide initiatives to reimagine learning goals
- Envision how pedagogy can be enhanced in both traditional and technology-enhanced environments
Requirements
- Experience teaching in higher education
- Experience working with faculty and/or other instructors to integrate teaching strategies into their programs and practices
- Demonstrated commitment to active learning
- Excellent writing, communication and public speaking skills
- Ability to work effectively on a team
- Broad knowledge of technological platforms and tools that can aid learning
Qualifications
- MA
- 2+ years of related experience teaching in higher education and working with faculty/instructors to integrate teaching strategies
Nice to Have
- PhD or another terminal degree in an academic discipline
- Background in educational development
