This position provides essential manual labor for general repair and preventative maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment, supporting Partners Health Management facilities. The role also involves office moves, meeting room setups, and minor construction repairs and upgrades.
Responsibilities
- Routinely courier interoffice mail and other items between all Partners locations
- Perform basic maintenance tasks, including monthly inspections to assess maintenance needs
- Assist the Facility Manager in investigations regarding facility complaints
- Perform touch-up painting, drywall, and minor construction upgrades throughout Corporate Headquarters and other facilities
- Troubleshoot light fixtures, receptacles, and replace burnt-out bulbs and 120v electrical components
- Perform building inspections monthly to ensure safety and security
- Assist the Facility Manager with projects and contact vendors for price quotes and data for bids
- Provide departmental support and perform other related work as assigned
Requirements
- Basic plumbing knowledge, including unclogging drains and identifying leaks
- Skill in operating ladders, lifts, and other building maintenance equipment
- Skill in safe lifting techniques and proper use of material handling equipment
- Ability to perform minor carpentry repairs (door adjustments, ceiling tiles, hardware replacement)
- Ability to build walls from start to finish, add doors or doorways
- Physical strength and ability sufficient to meet job requirements for extended periods under uncomfortable conditions in all types of weather
- Ability to travel as needed to perform job duties
Qualifications
- Education and/or experience in the performance of a variety of manual tasks that are directly related to the job and consistent with accepted practices in the field.
Nice to Have
- High School Diploma with two (2) years of building maintenance or general construction/remodeling experience
