About This Role

This role primarily focuses on providing manufacturing equipment sustaining support for Seeqc's foundry, ensuring high availability, reliability, and maintainability of equipment. The Facility Engineer will perform corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance to improve equipment performance and contribute to the development of a unique quantum computing platform.

Responsibilities

  • Perform corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance tasks to improve/sustain equipment availability, reliability, and maintainability
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform root cause analysis
  • Maintain facilities utilized by the foundry
  • Perform electro-mechanical root cause troubleshooting of semiconductor manufacturing equipment
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment according to operating manuals, schematics, and blueprints
  • Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform equipment checks
  • Work with process engineers to understand process-equipment interactions and limitations
  • Modify equipment to improve up-time or overall process performance as needed
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on tools in accordance with equipment specifications
  • Establish relationships across teams to drive strong communication and collaboration
  • Use data from equipment monitoring systems to improve equipment availability and identify root causes faster

Requirements

  • 5+ years equipment maintenance experience on semiconductor tools
  • Ability to work with vendors to troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Strong troubleshooting capability and root cause corrective skills
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering disciplines
  • 5+ years of equipment maintenance experience on semiconductor tools, ideally directly worked in a foundry

Nice to Have

  • Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control
  • Experience on semiconductor process development (RIE, thin film, characterization, wet etc.)
