This role involves real-time monitoring and coordination of facilities operations and critical infrastructure systems, ensuring uninterrupted facility functionality, security, and safety for USG support.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate building management systems, security management, and other facility control platforms
- Serve as the central point of contact for facility status, alarms, work orders, outages, and emergency events
- Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and security teams to resolve facility and infrastructure issues
- Log and track incidents, alarms, and maintenance activities
- Initiate appropriate escalation procedures during abnormal events, equipment failures, or environmental alarms
- Provide real-time reporting and updates to Facilities Manager and Building Managers
- Support emergency preparedness, continuity of operations, and after action reporting
- Conduct shift turnovers, maintain accurate event logs, and brief incoming watch personnel
Requirements
- High School Diploma, Vocational School or Trade School Diploma
- 10 years of experience operating mechanical and electrical systems
- 2 years of experience in monitoring and controlling major facilities infrastructure (HVAC, Fire, Electrical Systems)
- 1 year experience working with SCADA/EMCS control systems
- 1 year supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of power grids, plant systems, emergency generation, and critical infrastructure systems
- Operations experience in federal facilities or mission facilities
- Experience responding to facility-related emergencies and coordinating with first responders
- Top Secret/SCI Full Scope Polygraph security clearance
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, Vocational School or Trade School Diploma
- Ten (10) years of experience operating mechanical and electrical systems, two (2) years in monitoring and controlling major facilities infrastructure, and one (1) year with SCADA/EMCS control systems and supervisory experience.
