About This Role

Assist in maintaining the physical structure and equipment of outlying clinics. Responsibilities include minor electrical work, mechanical repairs, and routine maintenance to ensure facilities are in good repair.

Responsibilities

  • Report daily to the Facilities Coordinator
  • Perform assigned tasks professionally to reflect the integrity of the Plant Operations and Facilities Management Department
  • Maintain and repair HVAC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency levels
  • Perform urgent corrective, routine, and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, systems, and physical structures of the hospital, complying with all building safety codes
  • Maintain electrical wiring and emergency generator systems, inspect and test equipment systems
  • Replace, install, repair, and test electrical circuits, equipment, appliances, and lighting systems
  • Maintain routine records of inspections, preventative maintenance, work orders, and repairs performed
  • Perform manual duties as requested, including moving supplies/furniture, replacing light bulbs, and removing trash
  • Read blueprints, interpret instructions, and prepare specifications
  • Works day, evening, or night shift as assigned, and may be required to perform emergency duties
  • Respond to emergency call-in snow removal
  • Order replacement stock and repair parts
