Facilities Operations Manager

About This Role

The Facilities Operations Manager oversees all aspects of property maintenance for a portfolio of properties, leading a team of maintenance technicians to ensure optimal system and facility condition. This role focuses on delivering excellent service to residents and maintaining property upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the maintenance team in daily operations, repairs, renovations, and preventative maintenance.
• Oversee maintenance tasks including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance procedures, planning and scheduling repairs and routine inspections.
• Proactively inspect buildings and equipment, identifying issues and developing resolution plans.
• Manage, organize, and ensure proper stocking of property maintenance storage and supplies.
• Provide input for the development of the building maintenance budget and maintain inventory records.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Be available for after-hours services during designated on-call times.

Requirements

• 5 years experience in a maintenance position
• 3 years experience in a management position
• Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable personal transportation
• Availability for after-hours on-call services

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a Maintenance position and 3 years in a management position.

Nice to Have

• Advanced understanding and experience in electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpet care, and appliance repair
• Proven experience in maintenance supervision in multifamily residential
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
