Extruder Operator

About This Role

Operate and maintain plastic extrusion lines to produce quality products within specifications, ensuring productivity targets are met while adhering to safety and quality guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Run and maintain plastic extrusion lines to produce quality products
• Make necessary adjustments and judgments to consistently produce product within quality specifications
• Achieve or exceed productivity targets including line speed, uptime, and yield
• Observe all safety, HACCP/AIB/SQF guidelines and policies
• Support Food Safety Culture activities in accordance with the Food Safety Code for Manufacture of Food Packaging
• Perform and record quality checks
• Perform line changeovers and cleaning
• Perform preventative maintenance as required
• Properly box, identify, and secure product on pallets
• Complete all required paperwork properly and legibly

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Stable work history
• Willingness to accept or seek new assignments
• Mechanical aptitude/good troubleshooting skills

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required

Nice to Have

• Extrusion experience
• Previous manufacturing experience
