The Express/Quick Lube Technician will perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on vehicles with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership standards. This role focuses on entry-level automotive tasks while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive repair orders from dispatchers and take to stall area
- Perform routine maintenance with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership
- Perform complete MPI and 27-point used car inspection with photos and videos
- Diagnose cause of any entry level malfunctions and perform repair as authorized
- Communicate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts via xTime
- Tag and save parts, turn in parts if the job is under warranty or requested by the customer
- Advise Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within promised time
- Document and quality check work performed
- Road-test vehicles to ensure repair has addressed customer complaint
- Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins
- Ensure that work area and customers' vehicle are kept clean
Requirements
- Prior experience as a lube tech/tire tech (at least 1 year)
- Ability to perform oil changes, tire rotations, tire mount & balance, air filter replacement, cabin air filter replacement
- Ability to read, analyze & interpret technical procedures
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence & procedure manuals
- Ability to regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs
- Basic mathematical skills & reasoning ability
- Customer service, computer & organizational skills
- Satisfactory MVR
- Ability to pass drug screen
Qualifications
- Certificate completed or in progress for Automotive Technology preferred
- At least 1 year of automotive experience required at a lube tech/tire tech position

- Prior or current schooling in automotive technology
- Certificate completed or in progress for Automotive Technology
