Experienced Seamstress

About This Role

Join our team as an Experienced Seamstress specializing in formal wear alterations, working from your home workspace while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform alterations and repairs on garments, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, working with multiple layers, and replacing buttons or zippers
• Use sewing machines, hand tools, and other equipment to complete tailoring tasks
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with fitting and ensuring satisfaction with the finished product
• Take accurate measurements from customers during fittings
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at home

Requirements

• Own a sewing machine at home
• At least 3 years experience as a seamstress/performing formal dress alterations
• Proficiency in using sewing machines and other alteration tools
• Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating fabric requirements
• Ability to maintain high-quality standards
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Qualifications

• At least 3 years experience as a seamstress/performing formal dress alterations

Nice to Have

• Proven experience working with Bridal, Prom or Evening Dresses
