About This Role

This role will develop and apply advanced analytical technologies in mass spectrometry-based metabolomics and lipidomics. It involves leading the development of bioanalytical and biocomputational technologies to support high-impact research projects within the Center and broader scientific community, while ensuring high-quality, structured service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and validate lipidomics and metabolomics workflows, including sample preparation, chromatographic separation, mass spectrometry methods, and data processing pipelines
  • Drive innovation through the development and implementation of new analytical and computational technologies that advance high-impact research projects
  • Support projects across the full project cycle, from project and sample intake through data analysis and reporting
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure optimal performance and data quality
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality results and provide technical advice and solutions
  • Provide training, guidance, and technical support to junior staff and platform users
  • Ensure accurate documentation, data integrity, and compliance with FAIR data principles and relevant regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of five years of hands-on experience with liquid chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry systems and lipidomics and/or metabolomics data analysis
  • Demonstrated expertise in method development, quality control, and analytical validation, with extensive experience in untargeted metabolomics and/or lipidomics workflows
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of five years of hands-on experience with liquid chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry systems and lipidomics and/or metabolomics data analysis

  • Knowledge of metabolic pathways and biochemistry
