Executive Steward

About This Role

Manage and direct stewarding operations to ensure designated food and beverage outlets have necessary supplies and equipment, contributing to outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Lead staff in daily coordination of china, glassware, linen, and silver, and oversee equipment storage and distribution.

Responsibilities

• Manage all stewarding operations including inventory, sanitation, systems, budget, health inspections, safety initiatives, and reporting
• Lead staff in daily coordination and distribution of china, glassware, linen, and silver
• Oversee equipment storage and distribution according to established standards
• Monitor and develop team member performance through supervision, professional development, scheduling, evaluations, and recognition
• Recruit, interview, and train team members
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards and prepare for health inspections

Requirements

• 1-2 years management experience in stewarding
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams effectively
• Exceptional organizational skills with a track record of efficient scheduling
• Experience in inventory control, cost management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
• Previous experience training and developing team members
• Open and flexible availability to support hotel operations during peak times and special events
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and guest satisfaction

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1-2 years management experience in stewarding, with a strong preference for candidates who have also managed in related departments such as Banquets and Food & Beverage.

• Management experience in Banquets and Food & Beverage
• Prior experience managing within a union environment
