Lead new business efforts for Omnicom Media's global Health Growth, Brand & Experience team, partnering with agency leadership to drive revenue growth for OMD, PHD, and Hearts & Science. This executive role involves developing pitch strategies, crafting compelling RFI/RFPs, and managing internal and external stakeholders to secure new clients in the marketing and advertising industry.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of pitch strategies to obtain new clients
- Craft compelling RFI/RFPs that are bespoke and present OM’s breadth of capabilities
- Partner with all required stakeholders (Finance, Investment, etc.) to drive a flawless end product
- Elevate strategic thinking at all levels, inspiring and creating new ideas
- Lead multiple pitches and projects concurrently, while prioritizing effectively
- Manage a small working team of junior new business team members, connecting regularly
- Responsible for the growth and development of junior team members
- Create a culture of learning by imparting best practices to the Growth team
- Manage opportunity pipeline and report on pitch activity weekly within the global CRM platform
- Cultivate business relationships through networking and industry events
- Accountable for win/loss ratio and healthy business development financials
- Support the prospecting process of potential clients
- Partner with internal Brand Experience team to produce pitch related comms & materials
Requirements
- Minimum 12+ years’ experience in the marketing / advertising industry
- Proven track record of engaging and converting new clients to grow agency revenue
- Health/Pharma experience
- Strategic thinker, successful track record of building business for an agency
- Experience overseeing business development initiatives from initial opportunity through securing client contracts
- Proven results in converting new clients through formal new business pitch process
- Excellent written and oral communication skills at all levels
- Experience liaising with external consultants to manage and facilitate the pitch process
- Ability to adapt growth strategy to evolving service offerings
- Proven experience in building and leading cross-functional teams in the pitch process
- Extensive experience managing senior stakeholders with a professional demeanor
- Genuine passion for mentoring people with an ability to coach junior team members
- Knowledge of CRM platforms and industry new business tools (COMvergence, RECMA, etc.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business, or related field
- Minimum 12+ years’ experience in the marketing / advertising industry
