EVS Assistant Shift Manager

About This Role

This role involves providing daily guidance and supervision to EVS staff, ensuring operational goals are met, and maintaining high standards of customer service and cleanliness throughout the casino property.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and daily supervision to EVS staff on designated shifts
• Support and administer operational goals and monitor achievement of performance and profit objectives
• Adhere to scheduling and coordinate with manager regarding scheduling concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction
• Support compliance to departmental budgets
• Promote and demonstrate superior customer service, ensuring standards are followed by all team members
• Assist with oversight of the day-to-day cleaning of the Casino property
• Keep accurate inventory of supplies and equipment and communicate needs to manager
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets established standards
• Ensure OSHA standards are followed
• Report property damage or problems to manager in a timely manner
• Assist in providing distribution of work assignments
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements within area of responsibility and report potential issues to management

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to perform physical job duties of all EVS team members in emergencies
• Ability to operate all standard EVS equipment (vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, computer, copy machine, mop, broom, handled radio)
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rate, ratio, percent, interpret bar graphs)
• Ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues, and resolve problems diplomatically

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
