About This Role

This role involves owning the strategy, planning, and execution of XTool's event portfolio in the US market, creating engaging experiences at various events, and generating high-quality leads. The specialist will manage all logistical aspects, ensure flawless execution, and collaborate with sales and global marketing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the US event marketing strategy and calendar, aligning with business objectives
  • Conduct post-event analysis and ROI reporting to optimize event strategy and manage the budget
  • Lead all logistical planning for events, including venue selection, contract negotiation, and booth design
  • Serve as the on-site captain for major events, managing the xTool team, volunteers, and vendors
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans and run-of-show documents for stakeholder alignment
  • Design highly interactive, hands-on activations for events to deeply engage attendees
  • Develop compelling pre- and post-event communications to drive attendance and nurture leads
  • Collaborate with the Content Specialist to capture stories, testimonials, and UGC opportunities
  • Partner with sales and business development teams to ensure effective lead generation and hand-off
  • Manage relationships with key event partners, including retailers, makerspaces, and industry associations

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in B2C or B2B event marketing, preferably in tech, consumer goods, or the maker industry
  • Proven track record of end-to-end management of events (from 50-person meetups to 10,000+ attendee trade shows)
  • Exceptional project management and logistical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a knack for problem-solving on the fly
  • Strong budget management skills and experience negotiating with vendors
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to energize and manage a cross-functional team on-site
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in B2C or B2B event marketing, preferably in tech, consumer goods, or the maker industry

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a startup or high-growth environment
  • A personal interest in or passion for maker culture, DIY, design, or technology
  • Basic knowledge of laser cutting/engraving or CNC technology
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for lead management
