Evening Custodian

About This Role

The Evening Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and security of school buildings and grounds. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks, assisting with event setups, and conducting minor repairs.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wax, and polish floor finishes using manual or electrically powered equipment
• Dust and polish desks, chairs, shelves, equipment, and other building furniture
• Clean lavatories and restrooms using required detergents and sanitary materials
• Clean chalkboards, erasers, equipment, trophy cases, and other fixtures
• Empty waste containers, gather trash and litter, and place it in proper disposal containers
• Unlock and lock assigned buildings, check for safety and security, and notify authorities of irregularities
• Wash all glass including windows, partitions, framed pictures and door glass
• Move and store furniture, supplies, and miscellaneous equipment as needed
• Remove snow from steps, walks, and drives as needed
• Report items that require major repair to supervisor
