Equity Research Machinery AVP

About This Role

Collaborate with senior analysts to produce comprehensive equity research reports, presentations, and strategic recommendations for institutional clients. Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and company news to update investment solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze market, sector, corporate, and economic data to develop investment theses and produce top-tier research
• Present research views to Barclays clients through direct interactions, events, and written communications
• Engage with Markets, Client Strategy, and other stakeholders to raise awareness of research internally and externally
• Provide insights and research views to internal clients to help navigate financial markets and risks
• Collaborate with Supervisory Analyst, Compliance, and other stakeholders to ensure compliant research production and delivery
• Advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness
• Lead a team performing complex tasks and coach employees towards objectives
• Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures for control and governance
• Consult on complex issues, providing advice to People Leaders for issue resolution

Requirements

• Ability to conduct detailed analysis and valuation of companies
• Proficiency in financial modelling and interpreting highly detailed financial statements
• Deep understanding of the specific industry or sector being covered
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively convey research investment recommendations to clients

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with financial software and databases such as Bloomberg
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience in building and maintaining relationships with institutional clients
• Ability to lead projects and mentor junior analysts
