Equipment Operator - CDL Class A

About This Role

Operate heavy equipment and drive commercial vehicles to complete under/above ground utility Cathodic Protection projects, ensuring safe and efficient execution in an outdoor heavy construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Hand dig or perform other manual labor duties when required or work in trenches and holes places units
• Secure and haul heavy equipment for the pipeline teams
• Lift and/or transport material or equipment to its proper location on the job site
• Use a variety of equipment and other materials to construct assigned projects
• Perform splicing and placing of anodes as required
• Assemble and install units related to assigned projects
• Actively participate in JSA and use all necessary steps to complete tasks safely and ensures the safety of others working in the area
• Communicate with all levels of management and crew to effectively present any needs and changes

Requirements

• Clear and current CDL Class A driver's license with no restrictions
• DOT medical clearance
• Ability to travel up to 85% of the time

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, and three to six months related experience and/ or training preferred
• Six months experience in a similar role is preferred, and one year+ experience operating excavators, skid steers, and/or other heavy equipment.
