About This Role

The Epic Application Analyst advances the functionality and operational efficiency of Information Systems by providing basic to intermediate analysis, design, configuration, and implementation of Epic Applications. This role ensures technology integration into workflows, process design, and operational efficiency, while offering ongoing analysis, consultation, problem-solving, collaboration, and application support to users.

Responsibilities

Translate customer requests into Epic and other software application solution specifications
Develop and deploy queries, simple applications, and moderately complex reports in Epic and related systems using PC system development tools
Maintain detailed technical knowledge of assigned applications
Assist customers with optimizing their use of Epic applications
Participate in after-hours application support via rotating on-call schedule
Set priorities, understand Epic and other integrated applications, and answer technical questions with moderate supervision
Identify issues and concerns, communicating them to the Team Lead and/or Manager as appropriate
Develop options and recommendations for problem-solving
Provide training, support, and problem resolution to customers

Requirements

2+ years equivalent experience in healthcare, education, or technology
Epic Certification
Basic working knowledge of Epic or other Electronic Health Record (EHR) application support, development tools and methodologies

Qualifications

Associates degree, preferred
Two (2) years of equivalent experience in healthcare, education, or technology

Nice to Have

3+ years of experience in large, corporate systems development and implementation activities in Healthcare Management Information Systems (MIS)
Previous Epic or other Health Information Systems experience
Good analytical skills and technical aptitude
Good planning and organizational skills
Good communication, collaboration and customer service skills
