Environmental/Laundry Services

About This Role

The Environmental/Laundry Services team member is responsible for cleaning and servicing hospital areas, ensuring an orderly and sanitary condition for patients and staff. This role contributes to maintaining a compassionate environment for advanced cancer and terminally ill patients, by performing various housekeeping and/or laundry duties.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and services hospital building areas, including patient and non-patient spaces
• Performs a variety of housekeeping duties to maintain an orderly and sanitary condition
• Performs laundry duties to maintain an orderly and sanitary condition

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to communicate with patients, staff and visitors
• Aptitude to perform basic calculations and transcription of numerical records
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English
• Ability to carry and lift up to 10lbs frequently and up to 40lbs occasionally
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous housekeeping/laundry experience preferred (not required)
