About This Role

Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors in a hospital setting, performing essential cleaning tasks in procedural areas. Provide excellent customer service and apply industry knowledge to maintain hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and clean environments for patients, staff, and visitors by primarily cleaning procedural areas
• Provide excellent customer services when working with patients, visitors and other staff members
• Apply industry knowledge in the cleaning of specific departments such as the Emergency Department, Operating Rooms and other unique procedural areas
• Distinguish differences between levels of disinfection and perform low and intermediate level disinfection
• Explain orally or in writing the differences between levels of disinfection and perform intermediate level disinfection in areas where required
• Operate necessary equipment/machines
• Effectively use computers and mobile devices
• Work without close supervision

Requirements

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to distinguish between levels of disinfection and perform low and intermediate level disinfection
