The EHS Intern will provide hands-on support to ensure the facility's compliance with federal, state, and local Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support and implementation to ensure facility compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) regulations
- Ensure adherence to applicable Company policies
Requirements
- Enrolled in or have completed a four-year Environmental Health degree program
- Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout Programs
- Knowledge of Occupational Risk Mitigation and Control
- Knowledge of Industrial Hygiene
- Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets
- Knowledge of Environmental Law
- Knowledge of Air Regulations
- Knowledge of Stormwater Regulations
- Knowledge of Process/Wastewater Regulations
- Knowledge of Stormwater Management Systems
- Knowledge of Air Compliance Regulations
- Knowledge of EPA Form R
- Knowledge of Principles of Toxicology
- Knowledge of Hazardous Waste Management
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety
- Knowledge of Confined Space Management
- Knowledge of Fall Protection Safety
- Knowledge of Mobile/Pedestrian Interface
- Knowledge of Safe Work Procedures
- Knowledge of Ionizing/Non-Ionizing Radiation Safety
- Knowledge of OSHA Regulations (1910 and 1926)
- Knowledge of Hot Work Management
- Knowledge of Fundamentals of Ergonomics
- Knowledge of Worker’s Compensation Regulation and Law
- Knowledge of Emergency Response Training and Procedures
Qualifications
- Enrolled in or have completed a four-year Environmental Health degree program
