About This Role

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in air permitting for manufacturing and chemical processing industries, independently leading efforts to review, submit, and negotiate air permit applications, while ensuring compliance with federal and state air quality regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and independently perform responsibilities as Subject Matter Expert on air permitting
  • Review and submit air permit applications (Title V, NSR, Standard, ETC)
  • Interface with state and federal regulatory agencies and negotiate air permits
  • Independently provide guidance and perform permitting as an air SME
  • Assist in the development and design of operational and procedural improvements
  • Assist in the implementation of field-based programs such as process improvements, environmental programs, training
  • Proactively monitor asset management systems for compliance obligations
  • Provide data request responses for internal/external use
  • Identify emission reduction opportunities
  • Interpret and explain air quality regulations (limits, compliance and recordkeeping requirements)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years of related permitting experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, refining, or oil & gas industry
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong understanding of air quality regulations on both federal and state (OH, PA, WV)
