This Staff Accountant role will support the finance department by managing accounts payable and receivable, customer billing, and financial reporting. The position ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data, contributing to efficient cash flow and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Enter vendor invoices accurately into the accounting system, reconcile vendor accounts and provide payment information as requested, and create new vendor accounts
- Record customer payments promptly, prepare bank deposits, and ensure proper application to accounts to support efficient cash flow
- Communicate with customers to resolve billing, payment, and collection matters; process debits/credits as necessary and escalate past-due accounts
- Review figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper coding to safeguard financial integrity
- Prepare monthly reports for review and approval by the Accounting Manager, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and relevance for decision-making
- Assist the Accounting Manager in the annual budget preparation as needed
- Prepare and post manual ledger adjustments as required to ensure accurate general ledger maintenance
- Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation to comply with internal policies, external audit standards, and tax filing requirements
- Utilize and maintain accounting software and ERP systems to ensure accurate transaction processing, reporting, and data integrity
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, reduce manual processes, and increase efficiency through system tools and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or in Finance
- 0-3 Years experience
- English speaking is required
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point)
- Comfortably able to communicate with management about financial matters
- Permanent work authorization (e.g., U.S. citizen, green card holder)
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or in Finance
- 0-3 Years experience. Perfect position for new college graduate.
