Entry Level Automotive Technician

About This Role

Perform preventative maintenance and light repairs on a fleet of vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and basic repairs, ensuring all tasks are completed safely. This role involves assisting experienced auto mechanics as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance functions on auto fleet vehicles
• Perform light repairs on auto fleet vehicles
• Change oil, fluids, and tires
• Perform tire rotations
• Execute other basic light repairs in a safe manner
• Potentially assist experienced auto mechanics depending on experience

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate or loud noise levels
• Basic computer skills including typing and data entry
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit, and kneel frequently
• Ability to enter, exit, and drive vehicles
• Must be 18 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Qualifications

• At least 6 months auto maintenance experience strongly preferred, or experience in a manufacturing warehouse, auto garage, or auto dealership.

Nice to Have

• 6 months auto maintenance experience
• Auto tech school degree
• Ability to acquire 1 ASE certificate within first year
