Provide comprehensive IT system support as a System Administrator, managing infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining client/server/storage/network devices. Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, ensuring reliability, security, and performance for critical missions.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems
- Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
- Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems
- Install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components
- Implement operating systems enhancements and updates to improve reliability, security and performance
Requirements
- Current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance
- 10 years System Administrator experience
- Proficient with Linux
- Minimum of 3 years Linux system administration experience (within the last 3 years)
- Knowledge of physical and virtual servers
- Experience researching and creating solutions to close IAVA’s
- Ansible experience
- Experience in building and maintaining VMware environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
- Ten (10) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Five years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
