Enrollment Counselor

About This Role

Guide high school graduates through the college admissions process, serving as the primary contact for prospective students and their families from initial inquiry to enrollment, and representing the university at recruitment events.

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual and in-person admission appointments, interviews, and information sessions
• Manage an assigned territory or program portfolio to meet or exceed enrollment key performing indicators (KPIs)
• Represent the university at recruitment events, college fairs, transfer fairs, and campus visit days
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in financial aid, advising, and evaluation to ensure a seamless student experience
• Apply enrollment and contact strategies to serve students in a timely manner through the process of discovery, admissions, and enrollment
• Coach students through a healthy process of discovery and exploration on their education options, including building rapport, uncovering concerns, and exploring student learning styles

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 3 years of experience in higher education enrollment or recruitment (or 2 years as IWU Enrollment Counselor II)
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Proficiency with technology and multi-tasking skills
• Commitment to providing outstanding service to students and stakeholders
• Willingness to work evenings and/or weekend for events and peak recruitment periods
• Strong Christian commitment and adherence to IWU Community Lifestyle Statement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of three (3) years of commensurate experience in higher education enrollment, recruitment or equivalent, or two (2) years of experience as an Enrollment Counselor II with IWU
