Engineering Content Creator & Influencer (Technical Storytelling)

About This Role

This role involves serving as a credible and visible technical voice for modern manufacturing, blending engineering knowledge with compelling storytelling to create engaging content for technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-camera host and technical voice for Fictiv's original content, including interviews, explainers, and feature stories
• Research, write, and produce technically rigorous content on topics such as digital manufacturing, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), prototyping and production processes, supply chain agility and sustainability, and emerging manufacturing technologies
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and executive leaders to develop thought leadership content rooted in technical accuracy and real-world experience
• Translate complex engineering concepts into clear, engaging narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Travel to customer sites, partner facilities, and industry events to capture real-world manufacturing stories

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
• Approximately 5 years of experience creating technical content (video content, technical articles, guides, or eBooks, social or educational engineering content, engineering teardowns, build-ups, or demonstrations)
• Strong ability to explain technical concepts clearly and accurately
• Comfort working on camera and representing a company publicly
• Experience collaborating with engineers, product teams, or technical stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
• 5 years of experience creating technical content

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks), LLMs and AI-assisted content tools
• Working knowledge of AP or Chicago style writing standards
