This Engineering Assistant position involves performing routine and journey-level computer-aided drafting (CAD) for pipeline, mapping, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering plans within the Capital Projects Division.
Responsibilities
- Draft and revise civil, structural, mechanical, process, and electrical engineering drawings
- Compile and revise records and as-built drawings
- Prepare and draft easement plats, survey, boundary, and topographical maps, and project plans from field notes and legal descriptions
- File, maintain, and retrieve engineering drawings, maps, documents, and records
- Create, update, and maintain CAD standards
Requirements
- 1 year of full-time experience in engineering support, drafting, inspection, planning or GIS work
Qualifications
- Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade
- One (1) year of full-time experience in engineering support, drafting, inspection, planning or GIS work
Nice to Have
- College-level coursework in engineering, geography, mathematics, or related field
- Experience with 3-D AutoCAD and BIM modeling
- Experience with 3-D visual tools and software
