About This Role

This Engagement Manager role involves leading the development and implementation of the Delegated Authority and Digital Underwriting strategy for Munich Re Specialty - North America. The manager will guide complex strategic initiatives and ensure collaboration across various stakeholders to deliver transformative results.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for overall engagement process for new products, new delegated authority and digital partners, capabilities and additional transformation activities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive engagement strategies for new products, capabilities, and transformation initiatives, aligning with organizational goals and objectives
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders, influencing outcomes and facilitating communication across diverse stakeholders and external partners
  • Lead large-scale, complex programs, cross-functional project initiation phases to determine and document scope, effort, timeline, cost, dependencies, and alternatives
  • Establish or revise operational metrics, ensuring continuous improvement and optimal execution of new opportunities or material changes in existing portfolios
  • Champion a culture of innovation, driving the development of new products, services, and business models, while ensuring effective change management
  • Engage with appropriate Business teams to confirm priorities, assist Product Owners with high level prioritization of Product Backlog Items, and maintain portfolio plans
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and direction to Operations members, Business Analysts, and Project Managers, promoting growth and expertise within the team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 12+ years of experience in Program Management, Strategic Management or a related field
  • 8+ years in the insurance industry
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale, complex initiatives with a focus on transformation, innovation, and business growth
  • Proven track record managing off-track projects back to on-track
  • Deep understanding of the insurance industry, including market trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies
  • Experience with Agile frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (required), master’s degree (preferred)
  • 12+ years of experience in Program Management, Strategic Management area or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years in the insurance industry
